Kona Ice of Effingham County

Kona Ice of Effingham County

When Chris Umbelina left the world of corporate restaurant management five years ago, it was so that he could spend more quality time with his family. Chris and his wife Kelly know that spending time as a family is what life is all about. So, when the opportunity to buy into a Kona Ice franchise presented itself, they were all in.

Kona Ice is a mobile shaved ice truck that offers a unique, patented feature that sets them apart from other shaved ice vendors. The patented โ€œflavor waveโ€ on the outside of the truck allows customers to add any flavor they like to the shaved ice. This creates a lot of fun for the kids and the adults. They can mix and match to create the perfect shaved ice. This also allows Chris to serve customers quickly, letting them get back to their other activities.

Kona Ice of Effingham County can be seen at schools, recreation areas, ball fields and other events. They will come out to birthday parties, corporate events and can be seen at all the festivals and fairs held in the area.

Serving the community gives Chris the greatest satisfaction in his business. Kona Ice gives back 20% of its proceeds to schools and organizations, and this makes Chris especially proud.

He is also very proud of his family. Chris and Kelly have lived in Guyton for six years. Their son Cole is a sixth grader at South Effingham Middle School and their daughter Kennedy is a 4th grader at South Effingham Elementary School. The whole family loves spending time together, going to ball games and enjoying all that South Georgia has to offer.

Kona Ice of Effingham County can be booked for parties and sporting events for a refreshing cup of flavored shaved ice that will hit the spot.
