Plant Riverside District will host an upscale food and wine pairing reception featuring Kumusha Wines at Baobab Lounge, an immersive African lounge located inside Plant Riverside District's Power Plant Building.

In the Shona language of Zimbabwe, “Kumusha” translates to “your home,” “your roots” or “your origin,” all of which Zimbabwe native and Kumusha Wines founder Tinashe Nyamudoka used as inspiration for his Kumusha brand wines. A world-renowned sommelier, Tinashe Nyamudoka will be in attendance and will share his tasting notes and insight into the winemaking process behind five of his signature wines.

Bao Bites will feature delicious small plate samplings of African cuisine with wine pairings. Menu highlights include African Deviled Eggs with Za’atar Mousse, Fried Fish Masala with Cassava Chips, Lamb Kebabs with Naan Bread and Baklava Empanadas with Citrus Honey and Orange Ice Cream. This event is open to the public, and advance tickets are required. Pricing is $65++ per person.
