The Savannah Music Festival and Plant Riverside District will continue the popular Savannah Music Festival/District Live Series with a special live performance featuring Town Mountain. This series is an ongoing partnership between the Savannah Music Festival and Plant Riverside District that is designed to expand year-round live music options for Savannah-area residents and visitors.

Raw and soulful, Town Mountain has earned raves for their hard-driving sound, impressive songwriting and a honky-tonk edge that defines their exhilarating live performances. The hearty base of Town Mountain’s music is bluegrass spiced with country, old-school rock ‘n’ roll and boogie-woogie. Hailing from Asheville, N.C., Town Mountain’s high-energy sound reflects the group’s wide-ranging influences, including the Grateful Dead, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. Swamptooth, an energetic Savannah bluegrass band, will kick off the evening, featuring longtime picking partners Cory Chambers (mandolin, vocals) and Jay Rudd (guitar, vocals), along with fiddle virtuoso Vito Gutilla (fiddle, vocals) and Katie Rudd (bass).
