Tebeau Hill Plantation

Tebeau Hill Plantation is a family owned and operated outdoor event space located in Guyton, GA. The plantation’s name comes from a combination of the names of the Tebeau and Hill families who have long resided in Effingham. Carla and Billy Hill created the space because as she says, “In 2017, our son got engaged to a wonderful woman. In researching wedding venues, we saw an opportunity to create just what they wanted, and it was then that we decided to embark on a new family adventure and create a venue that many people can enjoy for years to come.”
Although they were inspired by, and book many weddings, the space is also ideal for parties, family gatherings, showers and family reunions. The site sits on over 35 acres of diverse property, including a half acre scenic pond with a dock and handmade cedar arbor. It is the picture-perfect spot to exchange wedding vows in a serene outdoors locale. Carla says, “Many of our wedding couples chose the arbor area on the dock as the location for their ceremony because it is so pretty.” The venue has a fabulous brand-new pole barn with attached dressing rooms and restrooms. There is also a separate kitchen area and they provide a rustic bar that can be placed anywhere in the barn the venue can accommodate up to 400 guests with ample parking.
Because they are a family business, they can easily accommodate the needs of a family wedding or other event. Carla says they only book one event per weekend which means the wedding party has the venue from Thursday until Monday at 5 p.m., making set up and clean up very convenient. She says if a couple has booked a wedding, they can also have their engagement pictures taken on site “It makes a nice continuity and of course it makes a great backdrop!” she says.
Tebeau Hill Plantation keeps their pricing and terms of payment reasonable making it affordable for most every budget. Carla says, “Many people can’t afford the $50,000 wedding, but every bride deserves the wedding of her dreams. We keep our prices affordable because we are very family orientated and we believe you should have everyone you care about there with you on your special day. “Carla and Billy cherish their family and envision Tebeau Hill Plantation as a legacy to be passed on to their children and grandchildren.”
