Manna House Launches ‘Building to Serve’ Campaign to Fund Major Improvements

Manna House Launches ‘Building to Serve’ Campaign to Fund Major Improvements

capital campaign, “Building to Serve” to raise funds for two urgently needed facility
upgrades: a new parking lot and a modern, climate-controlled donation center.

Currently, the parking lot is riddled with potholes, creating challenges for visitors,
donors, shoppers and volunteers alike. The structure used for accepting and sorting
donations is outdated, without proper heating or air conditioning, and no longer meets
the growing needs of the organization.

“This is more than just pouring concrete or putting up walls,” said Liz Quarterman,
Manna House Ministries Operations Manager. “This is about building the foundation that
allows us to keep serving our neighbors with dignity, safety, and compassion.”

Manna House is a volunteer-powered nonprofit that provides food and essential goods
to families in need across Effingham County. Last month alone, the ministry served over
2,000 households, representing over 4,000 individuals. Over 100 volunteers donate
more than 1,600 hours each month to keep operations running.

The campaign seeks the support of individuals, local businesses, churches, and civic
groups. All contributions will go directly toward construction and facility improvement. To
