Celebrating Nearly 20 Years of Satisfied ReStore Customers

To thank the people who have made it possible to keep providing a local source for affordable furniture, appliances, construction supplies and household goods, the Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County ReStore will host its annual Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 15 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

“We appreciate everyone who has walked through our doors, whether they’re a brand-new visitor or a repeat customer,” says ReStore manager Kait Rapp. “Every dollar of revenue generated by the ReStore goes into our mission of building attainable housing in our community, so by shopping here instead of a big-box store, you’re helping local families on the path to home ownership.”

Guests will be greeted with a cookout and opportunities to win raffle prizes donated by Habitat for Humanity supporters. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $2 each at the ReStore in the days leading up to the event and until 3 p.m. on August 15.

Keep an eye on Habitat of Humanity of Effingham County’s social media platforms for updates on customer appreciation day, including previews of the raffle prizes available.

If you can’t make it to the Customer Appreciation Day celebration, you can shop the ReStore’s ever-changing inventory every Thursday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is stocked in part with donations from residents and businesses. In addition to gently used items, the ReStore also stocks new flooring, cabinets, paint and energy-efficient LED light bulbs. Popular items include patio furniture, sectional sofas, outdoor storage and toolboxes.
